Text Box: Hello Students!
I hope this newsletter finds you all happy and healthy! I am missing sunny southeast as I am currently doing my internship at the Central Wisconsin Center in Madison, Wisconsin. It has been a busy spring for me, and the officers of SER-AMTAS. We have a lot of great things going on!
Revising our by-laws after the AMTAS model that was presented at the national conference in Kansas City,
Putting together this years student conference, “Crossing Boundaries”, to be held prior to our regional conference in Memphis,
Establishing a new bank account separate from the professionals,
Establishing a student scholarship for students given by the students, a challenge issued this year to all students,
Adding to our SER-AMTAS scrapbook,
Making sure all Text Box: students are members of AMTA,
Paving the way for new officers to transition to our BOD
And as always, being an advocate for the music therapy student and intern.
We had a great turnout of SER-AMTAS students at the national conference last fall! Remember to take advantage of these opportunities to attend as a student, it’s a great deal! Also, there is a scholarship available to you through AMTAS that will also be featured in this newsletter. Check it out!

Thank you all for the hard work that you do in your schools and throughout your community! Have a great rest of the semester, and see you in Memphis!

Respectfully,
Megan Cummins
President, SER-AMTAS
