Are you ready to “Rev up Your Practice”? Looking over the schedule, I see a variety of topics and styles of presentation. I think there is something to interest and engage everyone in a positive growth experience whether academic, musical, or for personal development. Thursday evening there will be a drumSTRONG drum circle celebration by the firepit, a popular gathering spot on the Queens campus. Read MORE INFO about the drumcircle. We will provide free shuttles to anyone wishing to participate in this event (preregistration encouraged but not required!). Professional facilitators will be on hand, but you can step into the firelight and take a turn leading if you wish! This drum circle is a celebration to benefit cancer research. The regional MT schools have been challenged by the Queens MT Club to raise funds, and donations for the local charity will be accepted. Indoor space is available if there is inclement weather, and hot beverages and snacks will be provided by the Queens Music Therapy Club. We hope everyone will join us for this unique musical experience. Friday evening is left intentionally free for you to explore all that this city has to offer. The Hospitality Committee has prepared an extensive guide, with information and recommendations for attractions, events, restaurants, and shopping, and will be ready to help you find what you are looking for. Check out this guide and directions to food and groceries near the hotel. There are museums and parks and many places of interest, so consider staying over until Sunday to explore! We hope you will join us!
